Illustration showing the Ox-man of Wicklow (who is being given a round object), from Gerald of Wales's Topographia Hibernica. Note cloven hooves in place of hands and feet. The British Libary website states that this illustration was probably produced "by Gerald or under his direct supervision during his sojourn in Lincoln (1196-1198)."
