Australopithecus sediba skull
An Australopithecus sediba skull, the U.W. 88-50 (MH1) cranium, that of a juvenile male, is shown from three angles in the photos below.
The skull is of Pleistocene age, dating to between 1.78 and 1.95 mya. This skull was discovered in August 2008 by a nine-year-old boy, Matthew Berger, the son of South African paleoanthropologist Lee Berger.
